Xiaomi Redmi A3x, 4GB/128GB - Out Of Stock @Price in Kenya

The Xiaomi Redmi A3x, introduced in May 2024, provides an Android 14 experience on a budget of under KSh 15,000. Let's delve into what this phone offers.

Display and Build Quality

The phone’s 6.71 inch IPS screen with a 720 x 1650 resolution is suitable for everyday use, offering 90Hz refresh rate that makes browsing and scrolling feel smoother. Protected by Gorilla Glass 3, the display is fairly durable, especially for its price range, which adds to its appeal for buyers looking for a lasting device.

Performance and Storage

Equipped with a Unisoc T603 processor and 4GB of RAM, the Redmi A3x handles most light tasks smoothly, though it may struggle with heavy apps or games. The 128GB of internal storage provides ample room for apps and files, and if that’s not enough, it supports microSD expansion up to 1TB. This flexibility is a great feature for users needing more space without a pricier model.

Battery Life and Charging

The phone’s 5000mAh battery is built for extended use, ideal for users who want their phone to last throughout the day. However, the 10W charging is on the slower side, which means you’ll need to plan for longer charging times.

Camera Quality

Camera performance is modest with a 5MP front camera, providing basic selfies suitable for video calls. For occasional photography, it’s serviceable but not designed to impress. The main camera offers Full HD video at 30fps, which works well enough for everyday moments but falls short in detailed shots.

Software and Connectivity

Running on Android 14 with MIUI, the Redmi A3x brings a modern Android experience with Xiaomi’s customization options. It includes USB Type-C connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS support, giving it solid connectivity options.

The Xiaomi Redmi A3x is built for users who prioritize affordability and essential functions. It’s a practical choice for those seeking a basic smartphone that covers the essentials. Its strengths in storage, battery life, and smooth display make it a decent option in its price bracket.
