Can it run appliances rated above 600W?

The AC outlets support X-Boost, which can power compatible devices rated up to 1,200W, without triggering overload-related failure. X-Boost is intended for heating and motor-driven devices; it is not suitable for equipment with voltage protection, such as precision instruments. Test compatibility before relying on it.

Can I charge phones, tablets and laptops?

Yes. The USB-C port delivers up to 100W, making it suitable for compatible laptops, phones, game consoles and other USB-C devices. The two USB-A outputs provide up to 12W per port and 24W combined.

Can I power 12V vehicle accessories?

Yes. The cigarette-lighter-style DC output supplies 12.6V at up to 10A, with a maximum output of 126W. Check that the output can meet your appliance’s starting current requirements.

How do I charge the power station from a wall outlet?

Connect the supplied AC charging cable directly between the power station and a wall outlet. The maximum AC input is 380W for the power station alone or 650W with an extra battery. EcoFlow recommends a suitable grounded outlet with a working current consistently above 10A and advises against using an extension socket.

Can I recharge it with solar panels?

Yes. The solar input supports 11–55V at up to 13A, with a maximum input of 220W. Ensure the panel’s output voltage remains below 55V to avoid damaging the power station. The solar panel and solar-to-XT60i charging cable are not included.

Can I charge it in my car?

Yes. Use the supplied car charging cable to connect the power station to your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket. Car input is rated at 11–55V and up to 220W. Start the vehicle before charging to reduce the risk of draining its battery.

How long is the battery designed to last?

This model uses LFP (LiFePO₄) battery cells. Under the manual’s stated test conditions, the battery is designed to retain at least 80% state of health after 3,000 cycles. Actual longevity will depend on usage, storage and environmental conditions.

Can I use it as backup power during an outage?

Yes. It can operate as a standby UPS with a transfer time within 10ms. Connect it to grid power and connect essential appliances to its AC outputs; when grid power fails, it automatically switches connected devices to battery power, subject to its output limits.

What can I do with the EcoFlow app?

The app lets you monitor power consumption, control connected EcoFlow devices, customise energy settings and receive troubleshooting guidance and firmware updates. You can manage the power station remotely over Wi-Fi or locally through Bluetooth when internet access is limited.

Can I increase the battery capacity later?

Yes. You can connect one compatible EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus Smart Extra Battery. Turn off both the power station and extra battery before connecting or disconnecting them. The extra-battery icon appears on the display once installation is successful.

How should I store and maintain it?

Store it in a dry, tidy and well ventilated place between −10°C and 45°C. For long term storage, the manual instructs users to discharge it to 0% and recharge it to 60% every three months. Clean it with a soft, dry cloth and avoid leaving it unused for extended periods.

Can I use it outdoors or for medical equipment?

You can use it outdoors only with appropriate protection: do not get it wet or immerse it in liquid, and use a waterproof bag in rainy or wet environments. It is not intended for life-sustaining medical equipment. For other medical devices, consult the equipment manufacturer first. The manual also states that the product must be grounded and must not be carried onto a plane.
